About Me

Hello, my name is Robert. I’m 24 and currently work at Liberty University as a Technology Development Coordinator for the Career Center. I graduated in 2010 with a B.S. in Worship and Music Studies and will complete an M.A. in Management and Leadership in Summer 2012. Over the past few years, I’ve become fascinated with the power of social media and enjoy studying new and exciting ways to connect with other people. I also have a love for great design, whether it be of the product, print or graphic persuasion.
Music, however, is my first love.
When I was around the age of 1, my parents bought me a toy drum kit and it was the greatest decision they ever made. Since then, I’ve grown to love the drums. I took a break from the drums in elementary and middle school in order to take piano lessons, which I did not always enjoy but am eternally grateful for. Around the age of 13, I started to fall back in love with the drums and started playing every chance I got.
During my freshman year of college, I auditioned for the Liberty University Ministry Team Department hoping to get a position on a traveling team. I was fortunate enough to be asked to join the Sounds of Liberty and played with them for 3 great years, getting to travel all over the country playing over 300 concerts, including a week long tour in Canada. Since graduating college in 2010, I’ve had the honor to travel and play with Anthem Lights, Todd Rukes and many others. I love my craft and look forward to all the opportunities that lie ahead.
Artists I’ve played for:
Anthem Lights
Charles Billingsley
Greg & Janna Long (of Avalon)
The Sounds of Liberty
Joy Lippard
Todd Rukes
Paul Davidson
Kyle Cummings
Tyler Sorie
